He has over a decade experience in academia across IFMR GSB and IIT Chennai. His areas of specialization are customer service, product returns, service recovery amongst others.
He holds a BTech (Hons) from IIT Kharagpur and a PGDM from IIM Calcutta
He has over three decades of industry experience working with Unilever, Kellogg across India, Australia, New Zealand, amongst many other locations. His areas of specialization are strategic brand and product management, analytics, and decision-making models, amongst others. He has nearly two decades of senior management experience.

He has over three decades of experience in industry and academia. He has worked with SAS Institute, IIM Indore, and Impetus. He is the founder of Xalt Analytics. His areas of specialization are supply chain and business analytics.
He is an alumnus of BITS Pilani 1983 batch EEE & has a rich experience of 40 years.
At present he is associated with Tata Telecommunications. In the past he has worked with Vodafone, Idea (ABG), Airtel, Siemens, Motorola, CDoT. He has experience of working both in India & overseas and is a veteran in Telecom & Digital Transformation.
He is a distinguished Professor in Strategy at XIM Bhuvneshwar and Chairperson, Centre for All Interacting Evolving Systems Science. He has been NABARD Chair Professor. He holds a B.E (NIT Rourkela), MBA (IIM B), PhD (IIT Kharagpur), Post Doc (Kobe Univ Japan). With a prolific publication record, Prof. Nayak has authored seven books, ten monographs, and over 100 research articles, cases, academic proceedings, and reports
